What a surprise we had just a few minutes ago. On the same day as the town of Manotick (Ottawa) held their Old Fashion Christmas, Santa Claus dropped in at FUK Flour. He dropped in to say how happy he was that FUK Flour was trying to make it easier for little girls and boys with gluten intolerance or celiac disease.   He told me we are on his good list and wanted to wish us a Merry Christmas.

FUK Flour and Gluten Free Ottawa want to wish everyone a wonderful & safe Chritmas, Happy Holidays and a grand Happy New Year 2013.

FUK Flour and Gluten Free Ottawa want to help out.

 

 

 FUK Flour (Darren Potvin) and goodguysTRI, Mike Herzog ,will be on Rogers TV day time morning show on channel 22 this Friday, November 23, 2012. We will be promoting the GG TRI Holiday Food Drive for the Ottawa Food Bank. At the same time I will be giving a FUK Flour cooking demonstration on my Gluten Free Polenta Pizza and give a few tips on gluten cross contamination. It’s going to be a fun time…. :

To donate any form of non perishable food please contact FUK Flour or drop by and leave it in the good guys TRI Box.  We are always looking for canned goods.

 

Calling out to all of Ottawa.  If you are able to donate anything it would be extremely appreciated, and well needed.   I am trying to gather more non-perishable foods that are relate to gluten free or allergy related foods as most people do not think about this during a food drive. Please feel free to contact me ASAP as we only have till Friday Dec 7, 2012 for pick up. Thank you and we hope you have a safe and happy holiday.

Myself (Darren Potvin), Gluten Free Ottawa and FUK Flour have had a fantastic journey together. I have had some ups and downs throughout the past twenty or so years, but it was so worth the long awaited outcome.   Our goal to spread gluten free knowledge and gluten free awareness while  delivering a healthy gluten free menu for all to enjoy. A gluten free life may seem hard at the beginning, but it’s not when you have the right information to follow and or someone to guide you.  I hope we get to meet one day at FUK Flour Head Quarters, located at 5558 Manotick Main St, ON K4M1A5 and have a chance to taste some real yummy healthy gluten free food.  Please feel free to read the attached article that was published in the Manotick EMC News Paper on this fine Thursday morning. FUK FLOUR had a fantastic opening day!  FUK’s first on-location business day was a huge success thanks to the many patrons who made their way over on this holiday Monday.  Most popular items were the GF Spinach and Feta mini-quiches and the  GF Triple Chocolate Skor Brownies … oh, and the GF Vegan Banana Kiwi Pecan Bread, too!

If you’re new to living Gluten Free, or if you’d just like to taste Gluten Free foods like you’ve never tasted before, please come by and chat with FUK’s Gluten Free Swami, Darren Potvin, and pick at his extensive knowledge of Gluten Free products and easy ways to integrate a Gluten Free diet into your every day life.  FUK FLOUR is not just a shop, it’s also a Gluten Free education center.
