What a surprise we had just a few minutes ago. On the same day as the town of Manotick (Ottawa) held their Old Fashion Christmas, Santa Claus dropped in at FUK Flour. He dropped in to say how happy he was that FUK Flour was trying to make it easier for little girls and boys with gluten intolerance or celiac disease.   He told me we are on his good list and wanted to wish us a Merry Christmas.

FUK Flour and Gluten Free Ottawa want to wish everyone a wonderful & safe Chritmas, Happy Holidays and a grand Happy New Year 2013.

 FUK Flour (Darren Potvin) and goodguysTRI, Mike Herzog ,will be on Rogers TV day time morning show on channel 22 this Friday, November 23, 2012. We will be promoting the GG TRI Holiday Food Drive for the Ottawa Food Bank. At the same time I will be giving a FUK Flour cooking demonstration on my Gluten Free Polenta Pizza and give a few tips on gluten cross contamination. It’s going to be a fun time…. :

To donate any form of non perishable food please contact FUK Flour or drop by and leave it in the good guys TRI Box.  We are always looking for canned goods.

 

Calling out to all of Ottawa.  If you are able to donate anything it would be extremely appreciated, and well needed.   I am trying to gather more non-perishable foods that are relate to gluten free or allergy related foods as most people do not think about this during a food drive. Please feel free to contact me ASAP as we only have till Friday Dec 7, 2012 for pick up. Thank you and we hope you have a safe and happy holiday.

Myself (Darren Potvin), Gluten Free Ottawa and FUK Flour have had a fantastic journey together. I have had some ups and downs throughout the past twenty or so years, but it was so worth the long awaited outcome.   Our goal to spread gluten free knowledge and gluten free awareness while  delivering a healthy gluten free menu for all to enjoy. We are open on August 6, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We will have limited products as we are just opening up and will be giving out samples while quantities last. Holy Crap Visited Ottawa Today With An Exclusive In-Store Tasting Of It’s Amazing Cereal

What a great day at Market Organics with Holy Crap, Kathy Smart and FUK Flour and of course GFO(Gluten Free Ottawa) is always with us too. This cereal is so addictive and healthy for you. It’s considered the most amazing breakfast cereal around, and is Gluten Free, Lactose Free, Sugar Free, Wheat Free, Salt Free, Nut free, Vegan Free and Kosher. I plan on making some yummy stuff with this cereal, and also selling it at my soon to open Gluten Free Bakery and Gluten Free Pantry. Meeting Holy Crap’s general manager Rob MacNeil with his 12-year-old son Liam was a pleasure today. Those two make quite a team and look forward to seeing them again, as well as my Queen of Gluten Free Kathy Smart. This cereal is high in Iron, dietary fibre, omega 3 & 6 polyunsaturated fatty acids, calcium and protein.  With all that said it is also GMO Free and all natural, being totally organic.  Holy Crap cereal is artisan made and I am proud to call it 100% gluten free.  It’s flavour is Cranberry Raisin Apple and what a delightful taste it is.  With one hundred and thirty calories per two tablespoons, six grams of fat, zero sodium, twelve grams of carbohydrate, six grams of protein, zero cholesterol  and 100% good for you.    Don’t let the name scare you as it’s just what the doctor ordered,   and if it’s the name that is stopping you from trying it then your missing out.  It was the most viewed and quickest Dragon’s Den business decision ever seen on TV.

 

 

 

 

I like to say thank you to Rob MacNeil and his son Liam for taking the time to talk to me today, while making it educational and fun.
