Our point of view

Clear about the limits of a listing.

A gluten-free menu item is useful information. It does not, by itself, tell you about shared equipment, cross-contact practices or a dedicated facility. We keep those questions distinct—so diners can ask directly and make their own informed decision.

Common questions

Does a gluten-free menu option mean a restaurant is safe for celiac diners?

No. A menu label documents the restaurant’s stated offering; it does not establish how an item is prepared or whether cross-contact is prevented. Ask the restaurant about current ingredients and kitchen procedures.

Why does a listing say preparation information is unknown?

Because the available source does not describe the relevant handling or equipment. We do not fill that gap with assumptions.

Why is there no Top 10 for every area?

A ranking will only appear when ten current and relevant restaurant records have been checked. A shorter, honest guide is more useful than a padded list.
